Table Top Sale - 27-05-2009

Table Top Sale:

The Cubs have been working on a project about money. As a final activity they ran a table top sale in the Orchard Centre during half term and raised a grand total of £42.30.

The money raised would have been higher had it not been for the rain in an otherwise hot and sunny week.

Despite that, the Cubs all had a great time taking money from the public in exchange for the donated bric a brac. They also raised £36 pounds by selling scout branded goods from Kit4scouts.

The Cubs were pleased to accept help from 5 scouts and one beaver, not to mention the 4 leaders and one parent who also got involved.

As a reward, Marilyn Males from the Newbury Building Society, came along and presented the group with blue piggy banks to encourage the young people to continue saving.
