Evacuees return home - 31-05-2010
Evac Camp went off with a real bang over the Bank Holiday weekend. Cubs and Scouts enjoyed using amateur radio, bombing the Mohne Dam, creating a flotilla of small ships, doing the Royal Tournament, interviewing former evacuees and veterans, parachuting teddy bears, building Anderson shelters, cracking codes, archery, X-blaster, puzzle solving, transplanting seedlings, having a campfire and WW11 singalong, making union flags, performing in the concert party, using ration books to get sweets, riding the steam train, paperball war, mindfield, looking at Shelterbox and loads more .... It was a packed weekend where we wll learnt a lot and had fun as well. When shall we do it again ?
